Asset map

The asset map shows your portfolio on a map of Japan, as an alternative to the asset list. Zoom with the scroll wheel and pan by clicking and dragging.

Assets close to each other are grouped into clusters, each showing the number of assets it contains. Click a cluster to zoom in on the individual assets or smaller clusters inside it.

Hover over an asset to see a tooltip with its name, its components (solar, battery, load, and, if enabled, hydro and biomass), its status, its type (FIT, FIP, PPA), and the AC capacity of its solar, hydro, or biomass component and the power capacity of its battery.

Click an asset to open a side bar on the right with its details. Click Details at the bottom of the side bar to open the asset view.

Creating new assets on the map​

Click anywhere on the map to open a side bar on the right with details about that location: the place name and coordinates, the estimated annual solar yield, the terrain slope, and the altitude. If a side bar is already open, the click closes it instead. Assets can only be placed within Japan; Okinawa is not supported.

Edit the name of the new asset (up to 50 characters) at the top of the side bar, then choose how to create it:

  • Template: Pick one of the predefined assets: Low voltage solar (a 49.5 kW solar FIP asset), High voltage solar with battery (a 2 MW solar and battery FIP asset), or High voltage solar (a 2 MW solar FIT asset).
  • Custom: Enter the COD, AC and DC capacity, the FIT or FIP rate and start date, and whether the asset has a battery.

Click Create asset to create it. To set every asset setting yourself, click Advanced edit at the bottom of the side bar instead.

Searching on the map​

The search input at the top left of the map finds assets (by name, ID, or location) and places in Japan. You can also enter coordinates as latitude and longitude. Click a result, or select it with the arrow keys and press Enter, to zoom the map to it. Selecting an asset opens its side bar; selecting a place or coordinates opens the side bar for creating a new asset there.

Filtering assets on the map​

Click the filter icon next to the search input to open a filter side bar on the left of the map, where you can filter assets by their properties.

A filter stays applied after you close the filter side bar. To remove filters, click the X icon next to the filter button in the top menu bar, or click Remove all filters at the bottom of the filter side bar.

The map shows only assets that match all applied filters. The map and the asset list share the same filters.

View options​

Click the view options icon at the top right of the map to choose between map, satellite, and terrain view, and to show or hide electricity transmission lines.
