Tags
Tags are custom labels you assign to assets. Use them to group assets by project phase, location, ownership, or any other criteria that matter to your portfolio.
Viewing tags on assets
An asset's tags appear in the Tags column of the asset list and in the Tags card on the Project tab of the asset view. On the asset view, hovering over a tag shows its description and the number of assets that carry it; click that count to open the asset list filtered by the tag.
Adding and editing tags on assets
You can assign tags to assets in two places.
From the asset list
Select one or more assets with their checkboxes, then click Tags in the floating menu at the bottom of the screen to add or remove tags on the selected assets. For a single asset, you can also choose Tags from the three-dot menu of its row. To create a tag on the spot, type a new name in the dialog.
From asset settings
Open the asset's settings from the three-dot menu of its row in the asset list or with Edit on the asset view, then go to the Tags page in the Project section.
Filtering assets by tags
Click Filter at the top of the asset list and select one or more tags. The list then shows only assets that carry any of the selected tags.
Managing workspace tags
Tags belong to a workspace: each workspace has its own set, visible only to its members. All workspace members can create, edit, and delete tags.
To manage the workspace's tag library, open Settings and select Tags. The page has three tabs: Assets, Files, and Events. Asset tags are the ones described on this page; file tags are used on the Files tab of an asset, and event tags on the asset timeline. Each tab lists its tags with their name, description, and the number of items that carry them.
Creating new tags
In the Tags settings, click Add to open the Add new tag dialog. Choose a color, enter a tag name and, optionally, a description, then click Create tag. A name that states the tag's purpose helps your team apply it consistently.
Editing tags
Find the tag in the Tags settings, choose Edit from its actions menu, change its color, name, or description, and click Save. You can also change a tag's color directly from its color swatch in the list. A renamed tag shows its new name on every asset that carries it.
Deleting tags
Find the tag in the Tags settings, choose Delete from its actions menu, and click Delete tag. The dialog shows how many assets use the tag.
Deleting a tag is permanent and removes it from every asset in the workspace.
