Introduction to balancing

In Tensor Cloud you can create day-ahead generation-sales plans and long-term plans (weekly, monthly, yearly) and submit them to OCCTO directly from the platform. For grid areas with an internally managed demand balancing group, demand procurement plans work the same way, unless your workspace files them through ElecONE. The balancing monitoring screen then compares the submitted plans with meter actuals.

Prerequisites​

Before you can use the balancing features, configure the OCCTO integration in your workspace settings. With your OCCTO credentials in place, Tensor Cloud submits plans to OCCTO on your behalf and checks their submission status, so the status you see is always the latest one.

Plan types​

Tensor Cloud supports the following plan types required by OCCTO:

  • Day-ahead and 2-day-ahead plans
  • Weekly plans
  • Monthly plans
  • Yearly plans
