Bilateral agreement settings

This is an overview of all available bilateral agreement settings on Tensor Cloud.

Contract terms

Items in this tab contain the most common bilateral agreement contract terms that define the revenue, profit, and risk allocation between both counterparties.

Basic contract terms

Enter the basic contract terms required for bilateral agreements in this section.

Contract status

Keep track of your bilateral agreement pipeline by regularly updating the contract status of your bilateral agreements. Available choices are: Draft, Signed, and Started.

This setting does not affect the simulation results of underlying assets but serves mainly to filter and sort your list of bilateral agreements.

note

Tensor Cloud currently does not update the Contract Status automatically based on the contract start date.

Bilateral agreement name

Enter a descriptive name for your bilateral agreement to help identify and organize your contracts.

Contract start date

Enter the date on which the bilateral agreement will take effect. Tensor Cloud considers all electricity flows from 0:01 on that day to 23:59 on the last day of the contract.

Contract term

Specify the length of the contract in years. This is a required field, and while we do not specify a default value, usually bilateral agreement contract lengths are closely aligned to the lifetime of the underlying assets.

note

Tensor Cloud continues to calculate asset cash flows beyond the end of the bilateral agreement Contract Term. Those cash flows will not include any bilateral agreement settlements but instead be purely based on market revenues.

Offtaker

Enter the name of your Offtaker in this optional field to better sort and filter assets in the asset list view, or bilateral agreements in the bilateral agreement list view.

You can manage your list of Offtakers from the stakeholders tab in the Tensor Cloud settings.

info

Entering an Offtaker name will not give this Offtaker access to any information in your account, nor will it inform the Offtaker that you have associated them with an asset. This field exists purely to help you better organize your asset portfolio.

Pricing terms

Specify the pricing for environmental value sales under the bilateral agreement.

Non-fossil certificate (NFC) price

Enter the strike price for non-fossil certificates in JPY/kWh. This is the price at which environmental value from the underlying assets will be sold to the offtaker.

You can define the NFC price individually for each year of the bilateral agreement duration.

Payment terms

These settings define how payments are invoiced and settled between counterparties.

Billing frequency

Specify how often the offtaker is invoiced, in months. This determines the interval between invoice generation.

Payment term

Define how much time the offtaker has to settle the invoice after it is issued, typically specified in days.

Consumption tax

Specify the consumption tax rate that will be added to payments under the bilateral agreement.

Linked assets

In this tab, you can see all assets associated with the bilateral agreement. You can also add and remove assets by checking and un-checking them in the list.

Remember to press the 'Save' button after you have made your selection.
