OPEX

The OPEX Library is a central place to create and manage reusable OPEX (Operational Expenditure) templates. Using the library helps you standardize financial data, reduce manual entry, and efficiently apply common expenditure items across multiple assets.

Creating and managing OPEX templates

You can build standardized OPEX templates that can be applied throughout your portfolio.

To create a new template

  1. Navigate to Library > OPEX from the main menu.
  2. Click the + Add new button in the top-right corner.
  3. In the OPEX settings window, configure the template's details (e.g., Account, Description, Frequency, Cost driver). These settings are identical to those at the asset level.
  4. Click Save. Your new template will now appear in the OPEX library list.

To edit or delete a template

From the OPEX library list, click the three-dot menu (...) on the right of any item to Edit its settings or Delete it.

Applying OPEX to assets

You can apply your saved templates to assets in several ways.

From the library (applying to multiple assets)

This is the best way to apply a single OPEX item to many assets at once.

  1. Go to Library > OPEX.
  2. Find the template you want to use and click the three-dot menu (...).
  3. Select Apply to assets.
  4. In the pop-up window, use the search and filter options to find and select the assets you want to apply this OPEX to.
  5. Click Confirm. The OPEX item will be added to all selected assets.

From an asset (importing from library)

Use this method to add library templates to a single asset you are currently viewing.

  1. Navigate to a specific asset and go to the Financials > OPEX section.
  2. Click the Import from library button.
  3. Select the desired template(s) from the list and confirm to add them to the asset.

Saving asset-level OPEX to the library

If you've already configured an OPEX item on a specific asset and want to reuse it, you can save it directly to the library.

  1. Navigate to the asset's Financials > OPEX section.
  2. Find the OPEX item you wish to save.
  3. Click the three-dot menu (...) next to it and select Export to library.
  4. The item is now saved as a new template in your OPEX Library for future use.

Bulk financial management from the asset list

You can add, remove, or reset OPEX items for multiple assets simultaneously directly from the main asset list.

  1. Go to the main Assets page.
  2. Select the checkboxes next to the assets you want to modify.
  3. A floating menu will appear at the bottom. Click Financials > OPEX.
  4. You will see three options:
    • Add: Choose an OPEX item to add to all selected assets.
    • Remove: Select a specific OPEX item to remove from all selected assets.
    • Reset: Deletes all OPEX items from the selected assets. Warning: This action cannot be undone.
